Coleta Velderman studeerde van 1963 tot 1968 aan de Academie St Joost te Breda de opleiding was toen nog 5 jaar grafische vormgeving in de vrije kunst.
Werkte 20 jaar bij het creativiteitscentrum stichting De Beeldenaar voor kinderen en volwassenen.
Exposeerde in zuid Nederland en België.heeft daar ook zomercursussen gegeven schilderen en keramiek.
